Berthe Volbeda
OlieKabinetBerthe Volbeda introduces herself as an aromatherapist based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her journey into aromatherapy began approximately eight years ago when she invested in a diffuser and a set of 12 essential oils for personal use. Sensing the profound effects of various scents on her mood and well-being, she felt compelled to delve deeper into the field. This led her to pursue higher education in aromatherapy, where her passion for the subject only grew stronger with each lesson.
Combining her newfound knowledge with her love for nature, Berthe conceptualized a unique approach to wellness by integrating aromatherapy with activities like walking and forest bathing. The positive feedback from her initial trials encouraged her to further explore this innovative method to enhance the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of her clients.
During her final year of Naturopathic Clinical Aromatherapist training, Berthe conducted research on psychosocial issues in women with Lichen Sclerosus. She developed a therapeutic approach called Aroma Walk, complemented by massage and the HEARTS process, which yielded promising results.
Expanding her skill set, Berthe pursued additional massage courses and began incorporating essential oils into her practice. Motivated by personal experience with her mother's dementia, she ventured into elderly care, providing massages in various nursing homes.
Recently, Berthe completed training in Aromatic Sentinel, a methodology tailored for palliative care settings. Currently, she is engrossed in the REWild program, an immersive training regimen that integrates nature experiences, lifestyle coaching rooted in ancestral practices, Enneagram-based personal development, mindset techniques, and sensory exploration. The program aims to optimize energy levels, foster creativity, and deepen connections with oneself, community, and the natural world.
